Daggubati Purandeswari, the BJP state president, raised concerns about the treatment of farmers by the YSRCP government. During her visit to the Bhimadole and Unguturu mandals in Eluru district, she inspected the areas affected by storms that caused damage to crops. Purandeswari interacted with the farmers to understand the extent of their crop losses. According to her, the farmers expressed their objections, stating that the state government is not adequately supporting both the farming community and agriculture as a whole.
Purandeswari specifically highlighted the establishment of Rythu Bharosa Kendras in Andhra Pradesh, claiming that these centers were created but failed to sufficiently address the needs of the farmers. Her visit aimed to assess the damage caused by the recent storm and shed light on the discontent among farmers regarding the government’s response to agricultural challenges.
