Tamils Trend “Jai Ravana” On Social Media

Tamil people are often known for their radical views, with many of them in the state expressing reservations towards Hindu rituals.

Today, the entire country is celebrating the pranprathista ceremony of Sri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, with the chant “Jai Shree Ram” trending on social media.

As a counter, a section of netizens from Tamil Nadu has started the trend “#JaiRavanaFromTamilnadu” on X. Ravana is considered by many as a symbol of Tamil pride, with some believing he once ruled their race. Trending a positive hashtag on Ravana is now criticised by many Hindus on social media.
