Telangana PCC Chief Revanth Reddy has been elected as the CLP leader by the party. He’s now officially the Chief Minister of Telangana. Along with him, some more elected MLAs will be swearing in for the cabinet. Meanwhile, the suspense for the speaker position has come to an end.
Vikarabad MLA Gaddam Prasad Kumar is chosen as the Telangana assembly speaker. He defeated his rival Dr. Anand Methuku (BRS) in the polls. Gaddam Prasad Kumar polled 86885 votes compared to Dr. Anand Methuku’s 73992 votes.

There was a speculation that Tummala Nageswara Rao will be picked as Speaker but finally, it went to Gaddam Prasad Kumar.
