In a notable turn, renowned BRS figure Balka Suman faced defeat by Vivekananda in the Chennur constituency. Vivek, the head of the widely acclaimed news channel V6 and son of Congress leader Venkata Swamy, triumphed over Suman by a significant margin of 37,189 votes.

With 85,916 votes to his name, Vivek surpassed Suman, who secured 50,431 votes. Notably, Vivek stands as the wealthiest MLA candidate in this election, boasting total assets valued at over 600 crores.
