The widening spaces within the Kanakadurga flyover’s wings have become a worrisome issue. Initially sealed with cement, these gaps have expanded due to heavy traffic, causing the cement to disintegrate. This poses a danger to passing motorists and devotees en route to the Durga temple.
In the past, a constable sustained injuries from falling cement near the temple’s retaining wall. Moreover, water flowing through these gaps exacerbates the problem, raising doubts about the structural integrity of the flyover’s wings.
