It’s not everyone’s burden to be the benchmark of beauty for a country that has a population of 1.4 billion, but then again, not everyone is Aishwarya Rai Bachhan. Obviously, that will make her every appearance and every outfit a statement, and while any celebrity may slip down a rung on the fashion ladder every now and then, Aishwarya’s fashion mishaps tend to be a bit more of an eyesore for the netizens.
Aishwarya’s appearance at Cannes film festival has garnered quite a bit of unpleasant reaction on the internet. The reason is her attire. The festival is known for celebrities flaunting their insanely intricate dresses. For some, this is actually more important than the whole point of it being a film festival. Anyhow, the actress’ two appearances on the red carpet have made fans furious over her designers. Rai wore a quite obnoxious black and gold gown to the Megalopolis premiere. Designed by Falguni Shane Peacock, the dress caused an uproar among the fans, who asked her stylist to be fired with immediate effect. The second attire of Aishwarya just made the fans even more disappointed. This time it was an extremely extravagant, glimmering gown. The designers were the same, and so was the disappointment.
Anyway, while we settle for passing judgments over the outfits of these celebrities in our cozy pajamas, we hope that Aishwarya makes a comeback on the red carpet. It will be something worth noticing whether Aishwarya’s next attire will make a difference of opinion or not.
