Recently, fake videos using advanced technology called deepfakes have caused so much euphoria online.

These videos feature well-known figures like Anant Ambani, Neeta Ambani, Gautam Adani, and Yogi Adityanath promoting a gaming app called Aviator. They appear so real that many people believe they are genuine advertisements.

The videos, which surfaced a few weeks ago, gained popularity recently. They show Anant Ambani talking about how players can win large cash prizes on the app, promising to multiply their winnings five times and refund double the amount they lose.

Another video features a deepfake of UP CM Yogi Adityanath claiming he earned crores through the app.

These fake videos were created by manipulating real TV interviews of these personalities to make them look like endorsements for the Aviator app.

In India, there has been a rise in deepfake videos featuring famous people promoting questionable products, particularly gaming apps.

Previously, cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli were also targeted by deepfake ads.

During election periods, there were numerous manipulated videos circulating online, featuring prominent politicians such as Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal.
