Anand L Rai produced Nakhrewaalii features debutants Pragati Srivastava and Ansh Duggal, the film aims to be released with the intention of redefining rom-coms. Upcoming Valentine’s Day of 2025 couldn’t be a better occasion for releasing such an experiment, when audiences are looking for something fun and romantic. Rai believes that Bollywood cinema has to bring a fresh breath to the old timer mushy romances.
Anand L Rai is known for presenting humour and drama in his films in a heartfelt manner. Tanu Weds Manu, Ranjhana and Zero have won our hearts with their warmth and emotional depth. Rahul Shanklya, well known for directing Subh Mangal Zyada Savdhan has undertaken the directorial venture for this project. He can be trusted with bringing something out of the box and thought provoking. It will be interesting to see how this movie presents something new yet entertaining to the viewers. Rai and Shanklya can work this wonder but only time will tell what happens on the silver screen. The ongoing rom-com scene has become quite lethargic for the audiences where similar tropes keep repeating themselves. However, the poster released by Rai was quite refreshing along with the caption that called this movie “Pyaar ka naya nakhra”.
