The controversy surrounding Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Animal” doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. This movie continues to be discussed by various personalities, with the recent addition of well-known filmmaker and story writer Javed Akhtar addressing the monstrous success of the movie as dangerous.
His opinion, while being discussed by people across various social media sites, caught everyone’s attention when a tweet from the official account of the “Animal” movie responded to Javed Akhtar’s criticism, calling his art form a big FALSE. The tweet was defending the boot-licking scene, one of the many problematic scenes in the movie.
However, the argument goes beyond this, as calling Javed Akhtar’s art form False is a thing nobody should do. This man has ruled Bollywood for decades, writing stories like “Deewar,” “Zanjeer,” and “Sholay,” which have become immortal for their brilliant storylines and portrayals.
Downgrading his work shows how disrespectful Vanga is towards others’ crafts. Vanga showed us toxic characters like Ranvijay and Kabir, but these two can play in the lap of Kaalia, played by Amitabh Bachchan. A director must know how to handle criticism in a better way.
Such incidents reveal Vanga’s mentality towards others. Even a few days ago, calling out critics by name in an interview was not a cool display of mannerism.

Saying “all your art form is a big false” to a person like #JavedAkhtar saab just because he criticised an aspect of a film. Indirectly, proving Javed Akhtar saab’s words. It’s not about the film or a scene, it’s about the intentions, the mentality. https://t.co/t0AQjCpuEL

Javed Akhtar's father is Jan Nisar Akhtar.
Javed Akhtar spent so much time with the legendary Sahir Ludhianvi.
Arts in Javed Akhtar Interview > Arts in Sandeep Reddy Vanga Films
After all, how can this shameless man @imvangasandeep teach art to Javed Akhtar? https://t.co/KCbg7qLJQF pic.twitter.com/BQzfjqTPAw
