Breaking: CM Confirms ‘Bomb’ Blast In Bangalore

Earleir today, there was a reported case of a blast at the famous Cafe in Whitefield, Bangalore. The preliminary doubts were if this blast is due to a cylinder explosion or a planted explosive.

Now, the chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah has confirmed that this blast is due to a “bomb explosion”.

The CM confirmed that a low-intensity improvised explosive device was used for the bomb blast and a customer had left the bag at the Rameshwaram Cafe, post which the explosion happened.

A total of 9 people were injured in the incident and they are currently being treated at a hospital. The NIA forces flooded the area along with post-blast detective teams and forensic forces.

“It’s not heavy explosives. But was improvised. Police are on spot. No victim is critical but many injured. CCTV being examined. The accused took token from the cash counter & kept the bag there” the statement from the CM read.

This has created a panic situation in Bengaluru City and safety measures are to be practiced by avoiding heavy footfall areas.
