We all know that at some level of bureaucracy, corruption exists in India. But with technology, the once corrupt government officials who openly demanded bribes have to be careful. They never know who might be recording them, permanently destroying their career. Even though it has helped in reducing corruption at some level, there are officials who are still indulging in corrupt practices.
One such incident has occurred in the state of Telangana where an official was caught red handed taking a bribe from a contractor. The case is from Hyderabad where an executive engineer working in the Tribal Welfare Engineering Department at Tribal Bhavan was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The drama unfolded after the engineer ‘s actions were in front of everyone. To prove her innocence she started crying in front of everyone. The video of the incident is going viral over the internet.
According to the sources, the government official demanded and accepted ₹84,000 in bribe from a licensed contractor. It was a trap setup by the anti-corruption bureau to tackle corrupt officers.
