Noted Telugu YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu was arrested recently for making insensitive comments on a father-daughter video. He is currently serving a 15-day remand at Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad.

Now, he landed in further trouble as a drug case has been filed against him. The police officials have found out that Praneeth also consumed drugs including Ganja.
They have registered a case under sections 79 and 294 of the BNS and NDPS acts. Earlier, he was booked under Section 67B, IT Act and POSCO Act.

The police have filed a petition in the court, requesting to send Praneeth to their custody for three days. The court is yet to deliver its verdict.
It all started when Praneeth hosted a live stream on YouTube, reacting to various memes on the internet. Reacting to a video featuring a father and daughter, Praneeth passed insensitive comments.

There was a huge outrage on social media for his comments. Actor Sai Dharam Tej escalated the issue by taking up the matter with the CMOs of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responded to the issue and assured that the government would take strict action against Praneeth.
Later, Hyderabad Cybercrime Department Police arrested Praneeth in Bengaluru and brought him back to Hyderabad.
