The British did more than rule the land. They cultivated a system designed to instill a sense of inferiority among Indians.

Their education model, social structures and cultural messaging subtly but powerfully made Indians believe that the West was superior in every aspect.

Tragically, this mental framework continued even after independence.

Our education system remained largely unchanged and with it so did our perception.

Validation from Western figures often undeserving continues to carry exaggerated weight.

Even today a brush with someone from the West is treated as a badge of honor regardless of that persons conduct character or contribution.

This raises questions about the recent VVIP treatment given to Errol Musk father of Elon Musk during his visit to India.

Amid ongoing global controversies including the public feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump and Errol Musks own troubled history his arrival is being celebrated as if he is a dignitary of global importance.

But is it truly necessary to extend such privilege to someone with no significant role in diplomacy development or innovation.

Such gestures reflect how colonial era mindsets still echo in modern India.

While some positive change is visible in recent years the progress remains slow.

For India to truly decolonize its mind we must learn to evaluate people on merit not nationality lineage or Western association.




The journey ahead calls for deep introspection and a bold reset of priorities.
