Festive sales in India are always massive, with Amazon’s Great Indian Festival and Flipkart’s Big Billion Days leading the race. This year, Flipkart’s Big Billion Days clearly dominated, making it the biggest shopping event for online buyers across the country.
Shoppers rushed to grab their dream items at lower prices. With GST 2.0 easing regulations, the discounts became even more attractive. From iPhones and gaming laptops to washing machines and TVs, users filled carts with products they had long wished to own.
Gen-Z customers drove much of the rush this season. In just 48 hours, the sale recorded 606 million visits, out of which 201 million came from Gen-Z alone. Metropolitan cities accounted for over 23% of the total traffic.
The Flipkart team called it their most successful sale opening to date. With record-breaking numbers and a surge in buyers, the Big Billion Days 2025 has set a new benchmark for India’s festive online shopping season.
