The scammers are all over the Internet. Via Phone messages, phone calls, and loan scams are now a daily thing.
But imagine a scenario where you want to find your one true love and to find that you download Tinder or Bumble and get scammed.
Are you laughing ? after imagining this scenario?
Because, exactly this happened with a guy named Jay on Tinder he met a girl named Yami on tinder and probably had some flirtatious talks which led them to exchanging their whatsapp numbers.
Over whatsapp the girl asked for ₹1000 from the guy, and the guy said of course he can try.
After some failed attempt to send the money to the girl, he gave up. As proof that he tried to send the money he sent a screenshot to the girl.
Then he asked the girl to send him ₹20 so that he can check that his UPI is working or not.
After he received that ₹20, he blocked the contact and bought himself a cigarette with the money.
The failed attempts were probably punching in the wrong UPI password so that the “transaction failed” shows.
Such a weird world, we have heard about betrayal in love, but ₹1000 scam in love is a legitimate new thing.
As funny as this Incident sounds, you should always be cautious about what app you use and which link you press.
Cyber Data is an extremely important thing and it can be hacked any moment.
