Doctor Commits Suicide After Visa Is Rejected: Hyd

A doctor from Padmaraonagar died by suicide after becoming distressed when her visa application was rejected. The visa of Dr Rohini was denied a few days ago, and she reportedly became depressed after the setback.

It is said that Dr Rohini consumed sleeping pills. A suicide note was found in her room. Her family is devastated by her sudden and untimely death. Chikalaguda police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

After the post mortem, the police handed over the body to her family. Her last rites were performed in her native place, Guntur.

Dr Rohini was 35 years old and had completed her MBBS in Russia. She prepared for US medical exams and secured good scores. Despite this, her visa was rejected. Around the same time, a marriage proposal also fell through. She had been living alone in Padmaraonagar for the past 7–8 years, with her parents visiting occasionally. Her body was discovered by the building watchman.
