Job Scam Horror: Hyd Guy Forced into Russian Army

Hyderabad man trapped in Russia war

Many people dream of improving their family’s life by working abroad. They trust agents who promise high-paying jobs and a better future. But sometimes, that trust leads to tragedy.

Mohammed Ahmed, a 37-year-old man from Hyderabad, went to Russia on April 25 after an agent assured him of a good job. Soon after arriving, he was forced to join the Russian Army and sent to fight in the war against Ukraine.

Ahmed said about 30 other Indians were taken with him. They were given weapons and ordered to fight or face death. While trying to escape, he broke his leg and claimed that 17 of his companions had already died in the conflict.

His wife is now pleading with the Indian government to rescue him. Local leaders have also urged officials to intervene and bring him back safely.

This isn’t the first time such a case has come to light. Several Indians have fallen victim to fake job offers abroad. Before trusting any agent, people must verify their credentials. One wrong decision can shatter an entire family’s life.
