Lucknow shocker: A 19-year-old kidnapped two children to fund his startup dream. When ambition loses morality, even innocence becomes a target. A disturbing case in Lucknow has once again proved this harsh truth.
On September 10, two brothers, Arjun (12 years) and Pradyumn (10 years), were kidnapped from BG Colony in Alambagh, Lucknow. They had gone out on a bicycle when the accused, Vijay Sharma, carefully executed his plan.
Vijay demanded a ransom of 10 lakh rupees for each child, making it a total of 20 lakh. His motive was unusual, as he wanted money to start a slipper manufacturing business.
Reports suggest that Vijay had earlier tried to find work in Pune but failed. Frustrated, he decided to arrange money through kidnapping to fulfil his startup dream.
The police acted quickly. Within 24 hours, they traced him to the Gola area of Lakhimpur Kheri. He was arrested, and both children were rescued safely.
This shocking incident shows how greed and lack of humanity can drive even a young man into crime. Thankfully, the children were unharmed, but the case has left people deeply disturbed.
