Work pressure in India has always been a concerning issue here. We hear so many stories of people who couldn’t handle the pressure and end up taking their lives. A recent unfortunate incident happened in Mumbai where a guy working at a big company committed suicide.
The news is from Matunga where McKinsey & Company’sw consultant Saurav Kumar Ladhha, a 25 years old IITian, couldn’t handle the work pressure and ended up taking his own life by jumping off the 9th floor.
As the news spread across platforms, it became an explosive discussion about the case, with people blaming companies in India for choosing too much workload over its employees’ comfort. The guy was not someone who could easily give up. A former NCC cadet and chemical engineer who did his MBA from IIM Calcutta, he was a perfect guy who would motivate others too. But in such a situation, nobody expected this.
Police, after the investigation, revealed that Saurav jumped off the building at around 11:15 pm where he was staying with his friends. When the watchman found the body, he was sent to the hospital but was dead. His close associates told the police that the last time they talked to him, he was having a hard time working there.
