Two wives in Devakkapeta, Bimkal mandal in Nizamabad set their husband on fire after years of harassment. Their husband, Malavat Mohan, 42, often drank and assaulted them. After a fight on Sunday, he locked both women in a room.
The wives decided they had reached their limit. On Monday morning, they brought petrol, poured it on Mohan and set him ablaze. Mohan died on the spot, while Sangeeta and Kavitha fled from the house.
Based on a complaint filed by Mohan’s brother, police registered a case against both women. The investigation is underway, and officials are verifying the full sequence of events in the incident.
