Outrage Over Bizzare Pricing Of Food Items At PVR

Avid cinema goers are well aware that affording scrumptious snacks with your movie in theatres is much painful for our pockets these days. The skyrocketing prices of snacks do not make any sense! For enjoying your movie with a simple snack like popcorn and cold drinks, customers have to spend hundreds. And if you are craving for something better you need to expand your budget to thousands.

In a recent viral outrage over X, many cinema lovers are highlighting this fact. One user interestingly brought to notice that desi snacks known for their affordability are being sold for a whopping price. In the image shared by the user we can see that Vada Pao, Bhel Puri, Sev Puri and Chaat are being sold for INR 450! The street food that is known in Mumbai for its affordable prices is being sold at a PVR theatre in Pune at such an unrealistic rate.

It seems ridiculous that snacks are often multiple times more expensive than the price of the ticket nowadays. The rapid capitalisation of cinema has brought such damaging consequences to our enjoyment. It is miserable that once going to the theatre which used to be a time of great relaxation and fun is now always accompanied by a dreadful thought of spending money on overpriced snacks.
