pakistan-super-league-banned

After the brutal Pahalgam terrorist attack, many Indians have started banning various forms of Pakistani content as a form of retaliation.

But the real question is- will banning Fawad Khan stop terrorism? Will stopping the stream or broadcast of the PSL (Pakistan Super League) make any difference?

Sony halted the broadcast of the PSL, FanCode stopped streaming it, and Cricbuzz removed its scorecard, all in an effort to boycott Pakistan.

The problem, however, lies much deeper and far more serious than what a mere content ban can solve.

These platforms have taken such actions merely to align with public sentiment, nothing more.

The Pakistani film industry is already struggling, and actors like Fawad Khan rely on Indian films to sustain their careers.

Targeting such individuals will have no real impact on the terrorist activities taking place in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The only way to create actual change is through the government. Instead of offering mere condolences, they need to take stronger, more decisive actions in response to such attacks.

They once promised to bring PoK back to India, but like many of their promises, that too appears to have been empty.

If the government truly wants to make a difference, it must focus on reclaiming PoK and taking concrete action, instead of making promises just to gain votes.

Flexing their power over small matters like banning PSL or Pakistani actors will accomplish nothing in the larger scheme of things.

The real issue lies much deeper and requires far more significant and strategic measures, not symbolic gestures that won’t affect anything.
