In a strange and almost unbelievable case from Rajasthan, a known history-sheeter tried to dodge the police by dressing up in a saree—inside his own home.
The man was wanted in connection with a serious criminal case. When police arrived at his house to arrest him, they spotted what looked like an elderly woman sitting quietly in a corner, her face covered with the end of a saree.

But something felt off.
The woman’s body language seemed odd. She avoided eye contact and didn’t respond clearly to questions. The police grew suspicious and decided to take a closer look.

To their surprise, the woman turned out to be the accused himself.
He had dressed in full saree attire to avoid being recognized and arrested. But the disguise didn’t fool the officers for long. He was immediately taken into custody.

The man has a long criminal record, and this failed escape attempt only adds to his list of troubles.
While the situation may sound humorous, it shows the extremes some criminals go to in order to escape the law.
It also highlights the alertness of the police, who didn’t let the disguise distract them from their mission.
The accused now faces additional charges for attempting to mislead the authorities.
One thing is clear—no matter how creative the trick, the law always finds a way. Even if you’re hiding in a saree.
