MLA Assaults Man Over Window Seat

Ever since people have held positions of power, there have also been many who have abused it.

In a recent and shocking case, BJP MLA from Babina, Rajeev Singh, assaulted a common man simply because he refused to give up his window seat.

This disturbing incident took place on the Vande Bharat Express, where a passenger named Raj Prakash was seated at window seat no. 49 in the E2 coach.

The MLA reportedly ordered him to vacate the seat and shift to seat no. 8.

When Raj refused to comply, the MLA allegedly summoned his goons, who boarded the train at Jhansi and brutally assaulted the passenger, fracturing his nose in the process.

The incident has left the internet stunned, with people questioning the current state of law and order in the country.

Many on social media are pointing out the terrifying reality that in 2025, an MLA can call his goons onto one of India’s most premium trains, beat up a man in full public view over a seat, and still face zero consequences.

They argue that Rajeev Singh is unlikely to face any charges or even spend a single night in jail for such unacceptable behaviour. As always, it is the common man who suffers.

Others note that even if someone gathers the courage to file an FIR, those in power often resort to coercion or threats until the complaint is withdrawn.

Some users have observed that while these incidents frequently involve BJP leaders, the root issue isn’t confined to a single political party, it’s a problem of power and entitlement.

MLAs like Rajeev Singh aren’t exceptions, they’ve become the norm. The bitter truth is that a large number of MLAs across the country are power-drunk, uncouth goons who won’t hesitate to harm you the moment their egos are bruised.
