Cassy started his journey at a roadside stall, enjoying a simple ₹5 idli. Next, he visited Bengaluru’s famous Rameshwaram Cafe, where the idli costs ₹50. Moving up the price scale, he tried a ₹500 idli at a luxury hotel.

Finally, he indulged in a ₹5,000 idli topped with 23-carat edible gold, which was served with luxurious presentation.
Though the gold-plated idli caught everyone’s attention, Cassy and many viewers agreed that the affordable, freshly made idlis from smaller places tasted better. One viewer commented, “The ₹5 idli is unbeatable,” while another said, “Spending ₹5,000 on an idli should be a crime!”
