In a rather strange story coming from Bareilly’s Sirauli area, a young man had to be rescued after climbing to the top of a building. The reason? People kept teasing him for marrying a very beautiful woman.
Gurudev, 25, got married just a month ago. But instead of celebrating, he faced jokes and rude comments from neighbours and even some relatives. They kept saying things like, “How did you marry someone like her?” Some even called him mad. Many could not believe he had married a woman who looked like a model and acted with confidence.
All the teasing hurt Gurudev deeply. On May 25, he climbed to the roof of a two-floor house and threatened to jump. Luckily, someone informed the police.
The Sirauli police reached the spot around 4 PM. They blocked the area and laid out bedsheets, mattresses, and nets to catch him safely if needed. For hours, police officers and villagers tried to talk him down with calm words and care.
Finally, after nearly five hours, Gurudev came down safely. The Bareilly Police thanked the rescue team, including Station House Officer Ram Ratan Singh, Sub-Inspector Ramveer Singh, and constables Shubham Kumar and Manoj Kumar. They worked hard and stayed calm throughout the rescue.
This unusual story has made people think about how words can affect someone. Gurudev did nothing wrong, he just got married. Maybe now people will stop making fun of love stories and start supporting them instead.
In Bareilly, UP, a young man climbed the roof to commit su!cide. Actually, people used to tease him that he got a more beautiful wife than him. Fed up with these taunts, he climbed the roof and started threatening to jump.
