FIR Over 2 Insta Followers

In a bizarre turn of events, a woman in Uttar Pradesh filed a police complaint against her husband, claiming she lost Instagram followers due to being overburdened with housework.

The incident occurred in the Hapur district and involved a woman named Nisha and her husband Vijendra, who lives in Noida.

Nisha alleged that her husband’s insistence on prioritizing domestic chores left her with no time to create Instagram Reels. She claimed she used to post two Reels daily, but after reducing her social media activity, she noticed a drop in followers.

Upset by this, she packed her belongings and returned to her parental home in Pilkhuwa, Hapur district, before approaching the local Women’s Police Station.

According to reports, Nisha told the police that her husband made her clean the house and wash utensils, leaving her unable to focus on her social media content. She connected this to a loss of two Instagram followers, which led to the dispute.

In response, Vijendra also filed a complaint, stating that Nisha spent excessive time on Instagram and often neglected her household responsibilities.

The unusual conflict drew attention after local news outlets reported the matter. Women’s Police Station in-charge Aruna Rai intervened and held a four-hour counseling session with the couple. The officers emphasized the need for understanding, balance, and communication in marriage.




Following the session, both Nisha and Vijendra acknowledged their role in the argument and agreed to reconcile. They expressed their willingness to work on their relationship and find a more balanced approach to personal interests and domestic responsibilities.
