Tandoori Rotis Kill Teens

A wedding celebration in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi turned horrific when an argument over tandoori rotis resulted in the brutal killing of two teenage boys.

The victims, 17-year-old Ashish and 18-year-old Ravi, were cousins attending the wedding on Sunday night. According to police, the incident began when the teens were waiting for rotis at a food stall and got into an argument with the groom’s cousin, Rohit, and his group of friends.

Eyewitnesses said the dispute escalated quickly, with Rohit and others feeling insulted. Later, around 1 am, as Ashish and Ravi left the venue with friends, they were chased and attacked by Rohit and his associates, who were allegedly armed with iron rods, hockey sticks, and lathis. While their friends managed to escape, the two cousins were caught and severely beaten.

Passersby discovered the bloodied boys and rushed them to a local hospital. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were referred to AIIMS Rae Bareli and then to Lucknow. Unfortunately, Ashish died en route, and Ravi was declared dead upon arrival.
