3 Lakh Followers Gone: YouTuber’s Massive Public Boycott

YouTuber Anvesh faces boycott backlash online

Telugu YouTuber Anvesh, who runs the travel channel Na Anveshana, is facing an unprecedented collapse in public support after normalizing some of the filthiest, cheapest, and most vulgar comments against Hindus, Indian culture, and revered gods. What began as a reaction video to actor Sivaji’s narrow-minded remarks on heroines quickly turned into a disturbing display of verbal abuse that crossed every possible line of decency.

In his initial video, Anvesh did not limit himself to criticizing Sivaji. He went on to mock and insult spiritual speaker Garikapati Narasimha Rao and dragged revered figures such as Sita and Draupadi into his argument in an offensive and degrading manner. His comments on temple sculptures, Indian women’s attire, and sacred epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata shocked viewers. Many accused him of deliberately abusing Hindu beliefs and normalizing hate speech against Indians under the excuse of social commentary.

The public response was swift and brutal. As outrage spread, immense anger began pouring in against Anvesh across social media platforms. Old videos in which he had previously made negative and controversial remarks started resurfacing and went viral. Netizens began sharing clips to expose what they described as his long-standing pattern of cheap vulgarity and open contempt for Hindu traditions.

Hashtags calling for his boycott trended widely. Reports indicate that Anvesh lost nearly three lakh followers across YouTube and Instagram in a very short span. Users unfollowed him en masse, stating that someone who repeatedly insults Hindus, Indians, and their gods does not deserve a platform.

People across social media are now bashing him relentlessly, calling him irresponsible, arrogant, and dangerous. The collapse of his follower base stands as a clear public verdict against what many see as sustained and unapologetic hatred disguised as free speech.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad has already filed a police complaint against him. Leaders of the Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party have strongly demanded strict action against YouTuber Anvesh for making statements that allegedly hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.

As part of their protest, BJP workers staged a demonstration at the YSR Centre in Mangapet, Mulugu district. During the protest, party members expressed their anger by burning an effigy of Anvesh, sending a strong message against what they described as offensive and irresponsible remarks.
