A major broadcast error during the first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh has gone viral across social media platforms. During the live telecast, Indian cricketers were mistakenly shown in Pakistan’s team graphic, creating massive online discussion.
The graphic displayed on screen was titled “Pakistan Test Career.” However, instead of Pakistan players, the list surprisingly featured several Indian cricketers including Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar.
Viewers quickly noticed the mistake and screenshots from the broadcast spread rapidly online. Cricket fans reacted with memes and jokes, while many others criticised the broadcaster for such a major production error during an international Test match.
Several users made humorous comments saying Pakistan “cannot stop thinking about India,” while others described the mistake as embarrassing for the production team. So far, the broadcaster has not issued any official clarification regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the match itself witnessed a strong batting performance from Bangladesh. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored a century, while Mominul Haque contributed 91 runs to help Bangladesh post 413 runs in the first innings.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas picked up five wickets and Shaheen Afridi claimed three wickets. Pakistan later responded positively with openers Azan Awais and Imam-ul-Haq building a solid opening partnership.
Despite the on-field action, the broadcast blunder became the biggest talking point online. The incident triggered widespread trolling and meme reactions, with fans continuing to mock the broadcaster for showing Indian players in Pakistan’s team graphic during the live telecast.
