LSG Win GT Crashed

Lucknow Super Giants bounced back in style with a 33 run win over Gujarat Titans. After 4 losses on the trot, LSG needed something special — and Mitchell Marsh delivered big time.

Mitchell Marsh was in beast mode. He smashed 117 off 64 balls, his first IPL century. From the first over itself he meant business. Every time GT tried to slow him down, he hit back harder.

It wasn’t just power. It was clean hitting, smart shot selection and full control. Marsh wasn’t just playing — he was blasting.

Aiden Markram gave good support early on. Together they added 91 runs for the opening wicket.

After Markram got out, Nicholas Pooran took over. He played a 56 off 27 balls* — big shots, clean strokes and no mercy.

And then Rishabh Pant stepped in. What a Shot by Rishabh Pant! In the 19th over, Pant faced Rabada and launched one straight over long-off. WHAT A SHOT! Pure madness. Timing, power, confidence — all in one shot.

The crowd went wild. Even Rabada could only look. That shot summed up LSG’s intent.

Even Rashid Khan wasn’t spared. Marsh took him on and smashed 25 runs in one over. Yes, 25! GT’s best spinner looked helpless.

Thanks to Marsh, Pooran and Pant, LSG went past 230. It was their best batting display of the season.

Defending a big total, Will O’Rourke stood out. He picked up 3 wickets and kept GT under pressure. GT kept losing wickets. They couldn’t get the momentum going.

Shahrukh Khan gave GT a small hope. He played a 57 off 29 balls. Clean hits, powerful strokes. But the target was too big and the support from the other end wasn’t enough. GT ended on 202/9 in 20 overs.

This win was important for many reasons. It ended their losing streak. It boosted team morale. And it reminded everyone that LSG are still in the fight.

GT may already be in the playoffs but this loss hurt. Their chances of finishing in the top two have taken a hit.

Final Word: What a Comeback!

Mitchell Marsh was unstoppable.
Pooran was explosive.
Pant was electric. Even Rashid Khan couldn’t stop the carnage.
