Sunrisers Hyderabad are set to face Gujarat in an important match today that would lead the Hyderabadi side to a top-2 position in the table. But disaster appears to be on cards for the team this time around.
Incidentally, all of a sudden, Hyderabad is starting to see torrential rains today and this could spell disaster for the Hyderabad team.
In case the rain persists and the match gets cancelled, then Hyderabad would be given a single point which would take them to 15 points. This isn’t enough to go to the desired second position on the table as Rajasthan has 14 points.
Then, if Rajasthan which is in second position wins the last game, they would be getting to 18 points. So, even if SRH wins the last game, they would be with just 17 points, which isn’t enough to get the second place finish.
So, the torrential rains in Hyderabad are nothing short of a debacle for SRH in the tournament. This has come at the worst possible time.
