Rohit Sharma’s parents have reportedly reached London ahead of the third ODI against England at Lord’s.
According to a CREX report, Rohit personally arranged for his mother and father to be present for the series decider.
Reports also claim that the BCCI selectors have informed the veteran opener that he is not part of India’s plans for the 2027 ODI World Cup. However, neither Rohit Sharma nor the BCCI has officially confirmed this.
The presence of Rohit’s parents at Lord’s has added to the retirement speculation among fans. If the reports are accurate, the iconic venue could witness an emotional moment as one of India’s greatest ODI batters takes the field in front of his family.
Rohit Sharma is among India’s most successful ODI players. He has scored 11,757 runs in 279 innings, including 33 centuries and a record three double centuries.
Whether this turns out to be his final ODI or not remains uncertain. For now, all attention will be on Lord’s as India prepares for the series decider.
