Yograj Singh has always been a vocal man, whether it’s about his own personal relation with his son or regarding other Indian players in the field of cricket.
His fierce animosity with former Indian Captain MS Dhoni is not hidden from anyone, the cricket ‘expert’ has now targeted runner-up PBKS Skipper Shreyas Iyer, creating waves of frenzy on social media.
Calling Shreyas’ action in the final a ‘criminal offence’, Yograj said, “The shot which Shreyas Iyer played in the final was a criminal offence, according to me. The repercussions of this are that you will be banned for two matches. What Shreyas did yesterday is not acceptable. There is no apology for that,”
Shreyas Iyer wasn’t able to work his magic during the last game, as he was dismissed pretty quickly, getting dismissed for just a single run while playing 2 balls.
While Yograj was quick enough to blame the player, perhaps he failed to notice the massively brilliant and dominant campaign that Shreyas led since Day 1.
While holding someone accountable for their failures is good, one should not forget their contributions in times of success as well.
