Team India’s former captain and RCB’s talismanic player Virat Kohli is arguably one of the greatest ever to set foot in the cricket field. But his captaincy stint hasn’t been as beneficial for him.
After having left captaincy for RCB 3 years ago, Virat Kohli is reportedly looking to get ahold of the same again now. Apparently, he has made it very clear that Kohli wants to be the captain of RCB again.

With Virat approaching the fag end of his career, the desire might’ve been there to have one final stint as the captain of the side.
In that case, the desire to have the captaincy reigns is an acceptable one. Moreover, RCB doesn’t have a trophy anyway, so there’s no pressure to uphold a legacy anyway.

However, for a player of Kohli’s stature and a loyal fan base unlike any other, RCB well and truly deserves a trophy. And more importantly, if it happens under Kohli’s leadership next year, it would be a dream come true moment for everyone involved.
That being said, captaincy has always had the better of Virat Kohli as he struggles to find the balance between T20 batsmanship and captaincy.

But at the same time, it is also true that he has become more mature as a player now so he might have found the right balance. Either way, we might know if the desire to captain RCB again from 2025 is a positive one or a detrimental one for Kohli and also the franchise.
