The Kollywood audience expected that Retro would become a blockbuster success and Suriya would make a comeback, but Retro failed and disappointed the Kollywood audience and Suriya fans.
However, Suriya 45 is said to be a devotional rural entertainer, and the team has secured the Diwali release slot, which will likely increase the movie’s box office collection.
At the same time, RJ Balaji is not a widely popular director, and for some, he is considered a relatively new director.
Also, apart from the Tamil audience, there isn’t much buzz for the movie in other languages such as Telugu. Therefore, trade experts consider this a gamble for Suriya following his recent failures.
Conversely, Suriya fans believe that RJ Balaji is a promising director who proved himself with Mookuthi Amman, so Suriya 45 will be a surprise blockbuster and mark Suriya’s comeback.
