Following Vidaamuyarchi’s setback, Ajith Kumar is returning with Good Bad Ugly (GBU), directed by Adhik Ravichandran, which is set for a worldwide grand theatrical release on April 10.
Recently, Adhik Ravichandran, in an interview, revealed that GBU will be a blend of mass moments and emotions, with the father-son bonding in the movie expected to be a treat for family audiences. He also praised Ajith Kumar for delivering emotional scenes with excellence.
GBU carries huge expectations, and just as Rajinikanth’s fanboy Karthik Subbaraj delivered Petta and Kamal Haasan’s fanboy Lokesh Kanagaraj made Vikram, Kollywood audiences believe Adhik Ravichandran—who is a hardcore Ajith Kumar fan—will deliver a memorable film for the star.
Ajith Kumar is aiming for a strong comeback, as Vidaamuyarchi was a colossal disaster and his lowest-grossing film in the last 10 years. This makes GBU a crucial film for his career.
With distributors planning a massive release and Mythri Movie Makers executing strong promotions both online and offline, the stage is set for GBU’s grand opening.
Now, it’s all in Adhik Ravichandran’s hands—if he delivers a compelling film, GBU has the potential to perform exceptionally well at the box office.
It remains to be seen whether GBU meets audience expectations, emerges as a blockbuster, and helps Ajith Kumar bounce back from the Vidaamuyarchi setback.
