Ajith Kumar Padma Bhushan to Beat Vijay

The announcement of Ajith Kumar being honored with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions to Tamil cinema has stirred a significant debate on social media and among Tamil audiences.

While many expressed no ill will toward Ajith receiving the award, several pointed out that this appears to be a politically motivated move by the BJP to overshadow Vijay.

This speculation gained momentum as Vijay, who recently launched his political party, openly declared that both the DMK and BJP were his political enemies.

Social media users suggested that the BJP might be using this recognition as a strategy to project Ajith Kumar as Tamil cinema’s leading star, thereby sidelining Vijay’s growing influence.

Adding fuel to the fire, rumors have surfaced that Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, a prominent DMK-affiliated production house, is interested in producing Ajith Kumar’s next film. Reports indicate that Ajith might receive a higher remuneration for this project than Vijay’s pay for Jana Nayagan.

This has led many to speculate that the DMK is also aligning with BJP’s strategy, aiming to elevate Ajith Kumar’s status in Kollywood while undermining Vijay.

However, some Tamil audiences have criticized Ajith Kumar’s selection for the Padma Bhushan, pointing out that he has rarely engaged in industry events or contributed significantly to the growth of Kollywood beyond his films.

Many view this award as a clear example of political maneuvering rather than a recognition of cultural or cinematic achievements.
