Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel movie, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on 7th February.
According to box office analysts, other than Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD, recent Tollywood movies in Tamil Nadu ended up as average or flop ventures in box office collections.

Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD has grossed around 45.2 crores in Tamil Nadu and has completed its theatrical run with a Super hit status.
Even though Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 grossed more than Kalki 2898 AD in the Tamil Nadu box office, the price of distribution rights was too high compared to the norm, and because of this, it completed its theatrical run with an average status in Tamil Nadu.

Other than Pushpa 2 and Kalki, NTR’s Devara and Ram Charan’s Game Changer closed their theatrical run with a gross collection of only around 10.5 crores in Tamil Nadu and ended up as disasters in Tamil Nadu box office collections.
Now, Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel movie is all set to release as a pan-Indian biggie. Despite having huge actors like Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, there isn’t any hype for the movie amongst the Tamil audiences, and now the Thandel movie is more dependent on positive word of mouth from the audiences to become a blockbuster success.
