After the back-to-back failures of Kanguva and Retro, Suriya has now completed shooting for Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, and simultaneously started his next project, directed by Venky Atluri.
Following Karuppu, everyone expected Suriya to begin shooting for his most anticipated project, Vaadivaasal, with Vetrimaaran. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the project has been shelved.
Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s dream project, a superhero movie titled Irumbu Kai Mayavi, which was initially planned for Suriya, has now gone out of his hands. Reports indicate that Aamir Khan will be taking the lead role in Irumbu Kai Mayavi.
Concurrently, Pa Ranjith had stated in many earlier interviews that his dream project, German, which was in talks with Suriya, would soon commence.
Suriya fans on social media are now sharing their disappointment that two dream projects from top directors have slipped away from Suriya’s grasp. They are hoping that only Pa Ranjith’s project is now in the pipeline and that it will start soon.
However, as of now, there hasn’t been any buzz about the German project, and it remains to be seen whether this project takes off in the future and whether at least Pa Ranjith will make his dream project with Suriya.
