Vetrimaaran after Viduthalai Part 2 has now started the pre-production work for his next film with Suriya, which is Vaadivaasal. According to reports, the shooting of this movie is going to start in June.
Recently, in an interview, Vetrimaaran stated that he is not responsible for audience expectations; if his film matches them, he is happy.
However, he can’t take responsibility. He will give his 100% commitment to making the film, but matching audience expectations is not his responsibility. This has now gone viral.
Following this, some netizens have started to respond that Vetrimaaran is slowly becoming stereotyped in his genre of movies.
They also say that nowadays, Vetrimaaran is not committing himself as a responsible filmmaker, and this is evident in Viduthalai Part 2, which did not satisfy audience expectations.
Earlier, audiences wanted their stars to do a movie with Vetrimaaran, but nowadays they don’t want them to do so, as there are now so many films dealing with caste oppression, and Vetrimaaran has now admitted that he will not be responsible for audience expectations.
However, Suriya’s Vaadivaasal has huge expectations among Kollywood audiences, and it remains to be seen how the movie will shape up and whether it becomes a blockbuster success upon its release.
