After the release of his long-delayed project Madha Gaja Raja, actor Vishal is now busy with Magudam, directed by Ravi Arasu. Nearly half of the film’s shoot is already complete, marking solid progress for the team.
In a recent interview, Vishal opened up about the pain he suffered while shooting for Avan Ivan, and his comments have since gone viral on social media.
Vishal revealed that he would never play a cross-eyed role again, even for crores of rupees. He said he took up that role only for director Bala and felt his life was almost over during that phase. He added that he has 119 stitches on his body and never used a dupe for any scene.
Fans online have urged Vishal to prioritise his health while also praising his dedication and commitment to acting. Many believe his intense performance in Avan Ivan may have contributed to his current health issues.
Meanwhile, several users criticised director Bala, saying that while his pursuit of perfection is admirable, he should also consider his actors’ physical limits. They pointed out that artists in Bala’s films often undergo extreme hardship to deliver authentic performances.
Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar had earlier revealed that she suffered a cracked collarbone while working on Bala’s Tharai Thappattai. Many other actors have shared similar experiences from his sets, calling for better safety and care during filming.
Vishal’s emotional revelation about Avan Ivan continues to trend across platforms, sparking widespread discussions about the demanding nature of Bala’s filmmaking style and the physical toll it takes on his actors.
