
Two shocking cases have emerged from the UK involving Indian men, highlighting increasing instances of violence against women. One of them even led to the death of a 76-year-old mother at the hands of her own son.
In London, Parvez Patel, 34, was sentenced to four years in prison for attacking a woman in her own home. Neighbors heard the victim’s screams, who was left with serious injuries including a broken nose, and called the police.

The woman was a sex worker who gave her statement to the officers, building a strong case against Patel. He is now convicted of multiple charges including attempted rape and sexual assault.
In another shocker, 48-year-old Sindeep Singh was sentenced to life in prison for killing his mother, Bhajan Kaur, after a fight broke out between the two. It was supposedly due to Sindeep believing his mother was occupying the family home that was left to him by his father.

When the relatives reported her missing, the police investigation finally found the body buried in the garden. The CCTV footage revealed how Singh tried to clean the house and hide the body after the incident.
Authorities stressed the need to protect vulnerable groups in society and urged victims of violence and people around them to speak up.
