A war can be synonymous with destruction, loss and misery. But the realization of this loss is always in the hindsight. What often goes unseen during a war is the human loss. The lives that were weighed against some political advantages. The Israel-Hamas conflict is a fresh example of this evident loss that war brings. An Indian origin soldier fighting for Israel lost his life in Gaza battling against Hamas.
Halel Solomon, an Indian origin Israeli soldier, who was only 20 sacrificed his life as Israeli soldiers made their move further into Gaza. Halel was from the town of Dimona in southern Israel. The Mayor of the city announced the death of the soldier and mourned. It has left the members of the Indian community in a bit of shock. They shared information about the young Halel with the media.
So far 11 Israeli soldiers have lost their lives in Gaza. The attack by Hamas on 7th October resulted in the death of more than 1400 Israelis. In the counterattack, Israel has killed more than 8000 Palestinians officially. The actual number can be much higher as Israel has been conducting air raids all over Gaza.
