
A horrifying mystery has been haunting Indian families for 15 years. 42 young men, who left for the US via the dangerous ‘dunki route’ in 2010, have vanished without a trace.
Their families, drained of hope and resources, are still waiting for answers. Some of them claim they paid ₹20 lakh to travel agents who promised a smooth entry into the US.

However, the journey turned into a nightmare when instead of Mexico, the youths were first flown to Managua, then Guatemala. Payments were made at every stage, but the final call confirming their safe arrival never came.
In 2010, 102 Indians took this route and 42 from Punjab never reached their destination. However, more details about this case expose grave negligence from the authorities.

In 2012, customs officials at Delhi airport seized a bag containing 102 passports, some belonging to the missing men. Yet, no action was taken.
Families filed complaints, but police refused to register an FIR. It was only after a Punjab and Haryana High Court case that the CBI took over.
