Sameer Kamath Indian Student Death

It’s been only a few weeks since Neel Acharya, a 19-year-old Indian-origin student, went missing and was later found dead near Purdue University Airport.

Today, another tragic news has surfaced about Sameer Kamath, a 23-year-old Indian American student who went to Purdue in the summer of 2021, found dead in the woods at the Niches Land Trust Monday evening.

Kamath was a doctoral student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Purdue University.

Officials have informed Sameer Kamath’s family of his passing, and a forensic autopsy is scheduled for this week.

The reasons for his death are still being investigated, and an official report will be released to the media after autopsy lab results are obtained.

It is heartbreaking to hear about the deaths of these young Indian students, especially from the same university, despite there being no apparent relation between them.
