Earth Records Hottest Day Ever! USA Records

Temperature-On-earthIt was not a moment to celebrate as the Earth registered its hottest-ever day on Monday. But concern and questions started to raise as it broke the record on the very next day. After Monday’s record-breaking temperature reading, Tuesday set up a new record for average temperature.

The Global average temperature hit a mind-boggling 17.01 degree Celsius. It has crossed the 17-degree mark for the first time since we started keeping records but July 4th topped it off with another record-breaking temperature reading. The average reading reached the mark of 17.18 degree Celsius. The previous record was 16.92 degrees in August 2016.

All of the USA is suffering from heat waves with temperatures increasing along the West Coast and across nearly the entire southern area of the country. In the southern part, along with the massive heat, the humidity is also making it extremely unlivable.

The heatwave and death sentence isn’t just limited to the USA and most of the American subcontinent as India and China are also suffering from the same fate. Various parts of India and China are constantly registering temperatures over 35 degrees.

This massive temperature rise is caused by the pattern of El Nino and the massive Carbon emission. This sudden rise will not only be a disaster for humans, but this will also be destroying numerous ecosystems.

“Chances are that July will be the warmest ever, and with it the hottest month ever: ‘ever’ meaning since the Eemian which is some 120,000 years ago,” said Karsten Haustein, a researcher at Leipzig University

“While southern hemisphere temperatures will drop a bit in the next few days, chances are that July and August will see even warmer days yet given that El Niño is now pretty much in full swing”.
