The number of crimes against Indian students in the USA have been on an alarming rise of late and there is a new addition to the list.
A Hyderabad-born student named Syed Mazahir Ali is left badly injured following a robbery attempt near his house at Campbell Ave, Chicago.
In a viral video clipping, Ali is seen being chased by robbers outside his house. In another video, bloodied Ali explains how he was attacked by unidentified robbers.
Ali sustained bad injuries in the attack and he was quickly shifted to the hospital later, where he is currently being treated. Syeda Ruquiya Fatima Razvi, the wife of Ali, who lives in Hyderabad, got a call at 6 PM on the 4th of February about the stabbing incident. The family members are worried and praying for Ali’s safety.
The Hyderabad native is pursuing Masters at Indiana Wesleyan University in Chicago and he sadly had to sustain injuries due to the robbery incident. More details are awaited.
