Krystle Kaul, Indian-American foreign policy and national security expert whose roots are from Kashmir has declared that she will contest for US House of Representatives from Virginia’s 10th Congressional district. Kaul, with over twenty years of experience working with The Department of Defense and The Intelligence Community, expressed her desire to offer her wisdom and leadership to The House and to the people of her district and the nation.
Kaul, who leads a defense technology firm, explains her bid is based on a commitment to the safety and security of the country, a passion for public service, and hopes of a better future for her constituents and the nation. She promised to concentrate on areas like education, healthcare, and public security in her campaign.
Kaul also added that she hopes to inspire a new crop of young Indian-American girls to pursue any leadership role they feel they want in life. She stated that Indian-Americans are grossly underrepresented in politics and the government system is broken and is in need for genuine moderate-sounding leaders.
Kaul is one of many Indian-American candidates in the 2024 elections. Representative Jennifer Wexton who succeeded Republican Barbara Comstock to the seat in 2018 will be her main challenger.
