Indian Arrested For Damaging 10 Flights in Florida

Indian Sumebh Singh Arrested

In an unusual incident at Treasure Coast Flight School in Stuart, Florida, a 23-year-old student from India, Sumebh Singh, was arrested by Martin County sheriff’s deputies for vandalizing ten airplanes.

Singh’s frustration boiled over when he was denied the opportunity to embark on a solo flight, leading to an outburst that caused significant damage to the school’s aircraft, including the sabotage of a plane’s throttle.

The school promptly alerted law enforcement after spotting Singh’s destructive spree on video footage. The damage is being described as “vindictive” and unprecedented in the long history of the aviation industry.

Not only does the vandalism cost approximately a thousand dollars per plane to repair, but the downtime for each aircraft also results in a substantial financial hit to the school, potentially costing thousands more.

Flight training rules got more complicated after 9/11 to make sure everyone’s safe. This makes it harder for students to start flying, and they might have to wait for a few weeks to get all the necessary permissions.

The student, Sumebh Singh, has been charged with a serious crime for damaging the planes, and he might face more charges. This whole situation has surprised and shocked the flight school community.
